Cabinet Knobs

I bought these blown glass magnets at a fundraiser several years ago. I love them, but unfortunately I won't have much refrigerator space for them in the new house. So the magnets are getting removed from these and then the glass will get glued to some existing knobs.

Reinforced Loft Floor

When the loft was designed, it didn't quite have two heavy people in mind... so we decided it could use a little addition to the 24 on center. The boards we salvaged from some painted project some time ago and found in one of the out buildings.

Cat Door Installed

Juno now has a way to get in and out of the house on her own. This will come in handy since I let her in or out of the trailer six times last night. She'll love having the house done too. Now I just need to come up with a ramp or step so she can actually get in.

Interior Touches

Our new flip clock came in the mail today. I love the look, the big numbers, and the lack of ticking (so Drew can sleep).

Also, thanks to Mom's brown paper bag flooring DIY discovery, we may have just figured out how we are going to finish the floors. Instead of bags, we'll use old maps. Mom already donated an old atlas to the cause. I'll be on the lookout for more in thrift stores. Basically, you crumple up maps, flatten them out again, glue them to the floor, and coat them thickly with serious polyurethane.

Loft Floor

Dad and I installed the loft floor after he got home from work. Tongue and groove pine goes in really easily, especially with a nail gun. Now I just need to sand and coat with urethane a couple times.

Exterior Complete

Just before Drew had to get back on the road we finished the last touches on the roof, siding, and trim. It still needs caulking and paint, but all in time.

Trim Finished

We trimmed the exterior with 5/4" deep 3 1/2" wide cedar. I threw a couple interior shots in for the fun of it.
